dc.description.abstract This study attempts to find out the effects of teachers’ level of motivation on their occupational experience in the Jirapa Municipality of the Upper West Region in Ghana taking the Ullo Senior High School as a case study. A cross-sectional survey design was used to collect data. Simple random sampling was used to select the respondents, and purposive sampling was used to select the respondents from each of the school according to the various departments. The sample size was 150 consisting of 75 females and 75 males. A total of 150 questionnaires were administered to teachers of Ullo Senior High School and all the 150 questionnaires were returned fully and appropriately filled. The study made use of descriptive statistics in the form of frequencies, percentages, tables and charts to analyze the results. The study found out that the overall level of motivation of the teachers is low. Low level of salaries and poor conditions of service are the main causes of low motivation of teachers in the selected senior high school. It is recommended that Ghana Education Service (GES) should improve the conditions of service of teachers. en_US
